Quick answer

Open the overview, start or resume an attempt, choose answers and check their saving state. Submit the attempt and wait for its result before starting your review.

Before starting, choose a place where you can work without interruption. Opening a test overview and starting a timed attempt are different actions: read the details first.

Before you press Start

Open a test from Tests. Check its sections, question count and time limit. If the page offers Continue, an active attempt already exists; use it to return to that attempt instead of expecting a new timer.

Answer and watch the save state

Select the option that answers each question. The runner sends answer changes to the server. Keep an eye on connection or saving errors, and use the retry option if saving fails. A selected option on the screen alone is not proof that the server received it.

Use your own working to decide between options. If you guess, note the reason afterwards so that the review still teaches you something.

Finish and review

When ready, submit the attempt and wait for the result page. Review incorrect answers before starting another test. If submission reports an error, follow the page's retry action rather than repeatedly clicking in several tabs.

Can I stop the timer by closing the tab?

No. The attempt has a server-based deadline. Closing or refreshing the page should not be used as a way to pause a timed test.
